Mobile phones are one of the most personal possessions anyone can have. With the introduction of smartphones, personal data are now most commonly stored in these devices. Since smartphones are very portable and easy to use, you have to make sure that your phones security is working to avoid anyone accessing your information without you knowing. App Lock or App Protector is a utility tool for Android that allows you to lock your applications and prevent anyone from opening them without a password. App Lock can provide added security for your phone.
Launch Google Play. Tap the Google Play icon on your home screen or in your app drawer.
Search for either App Lock or App Protector. The first app to appear in the list is usually the one. Tap it.
Download the app. Just hit Install to download and install either of the two apps onto your device.
Launch the app. Hit Open if youre still on the apps Google Play page. If youve left it, tap the icon of the app you downloaded on your home screen to launch the program.
Alternatively, you can head to your app drawer and tap the apps icon there.
You will be then asked to create a new password.
Create a new password. Enter a 416 digit combination password.
Press Continue once you are done.
Verify the password you created. Enter the same 416 digit combination youve previously set.
Set your security question. You need to fill out three fields:
Security QuestionEnter a question that will be asked in any case you forget your digit combination password.
Security AnswerEnter the answer to your security question.
Password HintThis will be a clue given to you in the event you forget your security question.
Draw an Unlock Pattern. Connect at least 4 dots to create an unlock pattern. Although this part can be skipped, its strongly suggested to set it for additional security.
Tap on Continue. App Lock or App Protector will restart, and youll be prompted to enter your digit combination password.
Select the applications you want to lock. To lock an app, tap the toggle switch on the right part of the screen next to name of the application you wish to lock. The toggle switch will then change to a closed pad lock icon.
To unlock the app again, tap the same toggle switch and it will change to an open pad lock.

Какие отдельные элементы? SMS - это полноценное ни от кого не зависящее приложение, а не элемент чего-то.

круто а можно узнать что обновилось? у меня просто на андроиде 1.6 это приложение после ребута можно просто выключить в таск менеджере, странно но если удалить приложение, ребутнуться и установить заново то это приложение не видно в таск менеджере, т.е. не закрывается но после ребута уже снова видно и можно тупо выключить, что делать, может кто подскажет? очень надо
Поставьте это приложение в игнор лист вашего таск менеджера, таким образом оно не будет отображаться в списке таск менеджера и его можно будет убить только исключив снова из игнор листа.

aWallet is absolutely free in the Play Store, and has just enough features to keep you happy, and to keep your information secure. Once again, the app encrypts data using AES and Blowfish algorithms with key sizes of 256, 192 and 128 bits. It also supports Triple DES with key sizes of 168 and 112 bits youБll have nothing to worry about with this one.

You left out Last Pass. It has a standalone Android app and a Dolphin browser add-in for my phone and tablet. It syncs my passwords encrypted with Windows sui I also have all of my passwords when I m working on my laptop and desktop too in all major browsers there too. Excellent!

KeepassDroid2 does this too. The advantage is no upfront cost, no monthly cost, it s open source, and gives you a choice of how to share your database between devices I use Dropbox.

You must try and include ENPASS. It s has been launched last month but it is far better than other password apps with great UI and UX. It s available for FREE on all major platforms ie Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone. iOS coming this month
They are also offering Free DESKTOP version till the end of this month.
Lastpass is really easy and usable on all the platforms i use. So simple and powerful.
I m using Passwordbox to manage my passwords, and am very happy with the service. Easy to use, gets the job done, and I can always access my info quickly on my phone or computer.
Strongly suggest a look into STRIP. It is top notch in terms of security, take the time and read up the report published by Elcomsoft. It may lack a couple of window dressing items, but that s because the focus is on the integrity of the security of the product. Works flawlessly across iOs, OSX, Android. Have a try, you will be pleased.

Personally, I use keepass. The password database is protected by a password and a key file stored on my devices only. The database itself is synced through dropbox.
Safe in cloud is the best app! It syncs the 256-encrypted dbase to your dropbox or google drive so you can use it with as many devices as you like
I have downloaded Enpass a couples of weeks ago and it is much better than the other apps. If bet, you if u used it once you will forget all other password apps.

Currently using eWallet by Ilium Software. Syncs across two Android phones, a tablet and a PC without problems. It s not free but neither is mSecure.
Lastpass research it try it. One PW manager for your phone, PC, tablet. Virtually any OS. I ve been using it for a year now and it is absolutely the most secure one in existence and it syncs across all of your devices.
Last Pass is a disaster. I have tried to like it several times but it rarely works as advertised. The iPhone app locked me out of my account because I didn t upgrade. It held my passwords hostage. Plus customer service takes WEEKS to get back to you, if at all.
Passwdsafe deserves a mention. It s cross-platform, uses an open file format, and best of all it s designed by none other than Bruce Schneier. Syncing with cloud services under Android is available via a companion app, PasswdSafe Sync.

Tried mSecure, dissappointed with the graphics. Makes it very hard to use. oneSafe is a new one I tried. Seems to have the best UI compared to the others on Android. Got it on iOS too. Happy with it so far.
I don t know why Intuitive Password is not on the list. I highly recommend Intuitive Password, because I have used it myself. Mobility and browser compatibility is fabulous. Also it is very easy to use. You technically have to remember zero passwords. Your passwords are securely stored on the enterprise-grade cloud servers.
All of these apps seem to interact only with websites. Do any of these apps automatically fill in the login credentials of other Android apps. when you launch them? Is this even possible?

I have used the Keeper for many years now and It s great. You can backup your own files by downloading them onto your home pc or a external device.
I like Dashlane. It also works across platforms plus beta version has a one click password changer for additional security
The free version of KEEPER is not so hot, after using it for a year I got tired of it asking me if I want to stay unprotected, then mysteriously one of my passwords disappeared, then another as if it was trying to force me to buy the better version. The same thing happened to my wife shortly after, this confirmed I was not somehow deleting them on accident.
I have always used LastPass. It is free for your desktop/laptop, but to use it on ALL your devices costs 12/year. I have used it for 5 years now and it has never failed me! I will definitely take a look at some of these above mentioned apps tho! Thanks for the info!

I have been using Keeper and am going to change. 2 times the passwords have duplicated/doubled. I lost a password that I had not used so I just thought I deleted it but I did not.
I am also tired of the system saying I am un protected. and the price has increased to 14.99 annually.
